We visited on Saturday whilst the Christmas Markets were on. It wasn't busy and was free to get in. The museum was great and definitely worth taking the time to have a good look around. It split into two different buildings and the layout is...More

For a free museum, a surprising amount on offer. Good range of history, some fascinating artefacts. The music hall playbills are very cool, and the prison hulk display is superbly done. Great stuff.

Excellently presented history with many items of interest, such as intricate boxes made by prisoners. Interesting building as well.

Not been here before, not big but free (donation). The most interesting part was the Battle of the Medway (350 years ago). Some interactive sets .. good for all ages. Do not wait for the rainy days

Really enjoyed the atmospheric and informative hulk museum - brilliant design. Fascinating insight into pre-Dickens Rochester.
