This place has lost its appeal, was the best in town but beer is now second best to gin. Quality is not the same. Go elsewhere is my advice.

No Darkstar as had run out. Watched the barman struggle to fill my pint using a half pint glass to repeatedly top it up ( not seen that one before ). Music was calm and not too loud. Tables clean and not sticky.

I thought I'd give the Steps another try as they've moved premises I thought that the atmosphere and service might have improved. Sadly not. After my review a couple of years ago of his previous venue and the owner's clearly deflecting, avoidant and inadvertantly humerous...More

Other reviewers are right: an amazing array of gins and different tonics to choose from, but also loads of other options to drink. And not your usual pub size shots; it was more like a fish-bowl of gin! And very prettily served up by a...More

Popped in here for an after dinner drink. They have a good selection of tasty beers on tap. They also make a fantastic G&T with an abundance of Gins to choose from. The staff were all friendly and service was prompt.
