pretty place

This is such a nice place ,lots of bird life you get geese mobbed if you try eating outside the car but it is funny. Shame there is no boardwalk as gets very muddy.

Lovely cup of tea and warm welcoming as always. Been visiting the mere since I was a child and love how it hasn't altered too much over the years 😊

Beautiful setting, with a bit of effort, this could be a hotspot. It's almost like they don't want people to visit.

Although out of season, the Mere is gorgeous. We came to have a walk around Hornsea and parked in the Mere-unfortunately the cafe isn't open now until February but even so it is absolutely stunning scenery-the photographers were out in force!

Hired a rowing boat for an hour in order to explore the Mere with my 10 year old lad. Very good value (£6) and great fun. Ran aground at one point as did both the other boats that were also out on the water, however it all added to the excitement and adventure! That said maybe a bit of guidance... More

There was boats to rent but we were unable to rent one as we had our dog. Might good for small children as there are loads of... More
