We wanted to go here but couldn't get out of the car due to the stench of Goose poo. Didn't get as far as the cafe; couldn't face eating with the smell around.

If you want to go fishing or play a quick pitch and putt or just watch some boats then you will be in heaven, not much else to do here

Called in for breakfast. The eggs benedict were excellent, lovely runny eggs, soft muffin, decent bacon and lovely hollandaise. My husband had a bacon buttie which was tasty and had plenty of bacon. Overlooked the mere. Service polite and efficient. Lovely little place.

I love this place, nice to relax, take in the scenery, take photos of the birds, take out a rowing boat on the Mere and enjoy a nice cuppa and a slice of cake afterwards, very enjoyable all year round.

It is a good place to view the mere with a friendly coffee shop Popular with cyclists and dog walkers Only slight problem is that it closes at 4.30
