As my wife and I left Castello Di Casole to visit Volterra, we passed a sign for Casole d'Elsa which my cousin (who lives in Siena) had told us had a great Etruscan museum that few people take the time to go and see. I had wanted to go to Volterra because of their Etruscan museum as well as for... More

Incredible historic art of Siena, full rooms of frescoes and paintings. Takes about 1 hour to go through and is worth it.

If you are into archeology then this is a treat for you. We visited as we were touring round the hill top towns in area. We enjoyed our visit.

We had a good look round and there are many interesting sights but they're not very exciting. Something for the keen person

We have had the chance to visit the museum during a private opening for our group and were amazed by the amount of artefacts displayed in the museum of such a little village!
