The walk from where the boat docked to the Villa was considerably longer than we had alloted, and after the gentle, flat walk along the seawall, we discovered it was a long walk UP to the villa. We did not go in the villa, but...More

I won't repeat what other reviewers said about the garden other than to say it is very lovely and very dramatic. A couple of tips: Take the boat instead of walking -- the approach to the garden from the boat is the best view of...More

My wife and I have made several trips to Balbianello over the years we have been staying by Lake Como. It is a place of much beauty and tranquility which offers views both North and South of the lake. The walk through the tree-lined avenue...More

Being Star Wars fans we had to visit this place. It was a lovely sunny day so we decided to walk the peninsula out to the Villa, through a very pretty forest (quite steep in places but only a 20/25 minute walk), and were rewarded...More

A historic landmark with a interesting history. The area was beautiful in the late afternoon just before sunset. Take the boat instead of walking (approx 20 minutes) to the house. That will give you great wievs from the lake side.

A "must see" attraction. Superb buildings, history, excellent museum and magnificent gardens in a superb location. Be sure to check at the office for the next tour of the museum - definitely worthwhile. You need a good two hours for the visit and try to...More

The lanscape, trees, flowers and the location in front of Como Lake. A wonderful villa, A little bit expensive but it worth the admission fee.

Seeing this spectacular location in a movie caused me to search out where it was and then put in on my bucket list! We'd arranged for Bellagio Water Taxi tour that includes a full inside and out visit to Villa Balbianello. What's especially cool with...More

From the public landing stage take left and walk along the lake side for 500 mt, then you will find the shuttle at the Lido di Lenno. It is a flat walk, there are benches where you can relax. In 5 minutes it's done.
