Spacious, picturesque, remote, a vivid peace of nature. You can always find a place to enjoy your loneliness and aloneness here, and this is a blessing after overcrouded Antony Quinn Bay, Ladiko Bay and Faliraki beach. It wasn't a big deal for us to travel 20-25 min by foot in a shadow of scent laden conifers, among olive trees and bamboo towering along both sides of the path. We rented a quad, and the travel became even more enjoyable.
Traounou Beach was awarded The Blue Flag eco-label, and you can check this out for yourself. Crystal-clear water, unbelievable sea caves to explore, no intrusive wave runners and cruisibg boats (there was just one staying for one hour somedays) and all necessary facilities within walking distance.
Wish you have an unforgettable time in Fakiraki!

The water was crystal clear, parking was easy and the tavern on the beach made it handy come lunch time.

Cristal clear water. Sunbeds for 10 euros. Accessible beach, good for wheelchair users. There is a speacil chair for entering the sea, free of charge. Bar area available.
This year the beaches are full of litter everywhere. Breaks my heart that people who have children just do not care for the future. PLEASE!! PLEASE!! DON'T THROW YOUR CIGARETTES, MASKS AND PLASTIC BOTTLES EVERYWHERE!! the sea is not a dustbin, fish are not smokers, we have only one EARTH please take care of it! Please!
The wind is strong on Rhodes Island so it can blow your this away but with a little care we can keep this beautiful Greek holiday resort beautiful for our next destination.

Nice sandy beach. Would stay away from the busy areas. The service from the Bars was poor. Staff in the beach bars were very helpful though

Face it, reviewing a beachside is hard. It's not about the experience, because it's hard to find a common ground to everybody's liking. You might as well hate Traounou beach, because there is no sand and the shore consists of small rocks, the sea gets deep very quickly, there wasn't any luxury sunbeds and there aren't fancy cocktails for sale at the amenities. But here, the food was nice and cheap, seawater was crystal clear, people could sunbathe topless peacefully. Nobody is peer-forcing you to rent a sunbed, and many people had brought their own sunbrellas. For the opposite experience, sand, cocktails, luxury, enclosed bay, I suggest Saint Paul's beach, which was also nice.

Am coming to faliraki next month staying at evi hotel,me and my partner would like to visit Anthony Quinn bay however don't have a car we are only 18 any other way we can visit?
Written 22 August 2016
You ave several choices actually, there are some bus lines that go down the main Rhodes-Lindos street, however it drops you on the said road and from there it's a 2/3 km walk to get to Anthony Quinn's bay which is a lot under the hot greek sun.
You can also take a cab, the fares are not expensive, although going back and forth every day could get to be expensive at the end.
Final option is to rent a quad or a scooter, there are plenty rentals in faliraki so I think you can ask directly at your hotel or try to find some on the web and book it beforehand.
