This beach is great for swimming. There are a few surfers, but the waves are mellow. There are some shady spots to sit and enjoy the view of the fine, white sandy beach, chill waves, and the occasional iguana.

A great place for quiet relaxation and tide pool searching. Nice sandy patches for swimming too. We went at sunset & it was stunning!

We did a sunset/ surf here after hearing the waves weren’t as big as Santa teresa. We came here twice and the beach wasn’t as crowded and the sunset was breathtaking. Gorgeous water, not too far from Santa Teresa and a must visit to see...More

We really enjoyed jumping the waves here. 5 layers of surf. It was fun!!! Sand great, semi soft, no rocks or shells. Didn't partake, but surf board lessons seem to be given all day.

I was so happy when I stumbled across Hermosa beach. There are a lot less rocks and the waves are a bit better for surfing than in Santa Teresa.

Stayed at Villa Acacia, beautiful quiet rooms, lush vegetation and very few guests, it was down season. One block from the beach and great restaurants.

Always bring water, it is hot. You can only get around by 4x4 and quads or ATVs are best. There are places in town that rent if your accommodations does not. The food is excellent! Everything is farm to table no matter where... More

Playa Hermosa is a short distance (3-4 miles north of Santa Teresa) off of the main road. Look for a small sign on the left that says "Colors" sort of faded. Take that left on rough road to ocean and Playa Hermosa (about 1/2... More
