Jingzhou is a great city with a lot of history. The city has preserved and restored its city walls and towers and this gives a feel of yesteryear and keeps the history of its early origins. Although a tourist attraction, the shops are not overly...More

Great place to visit and it wasn't very crowded. Love the history of the place. When we went there was a band set up in the courtyard so we had nice background music.

Beautiful grounds around the city walls. Loved that this isn't just a tourist attraction and that local people come here to fish, sing etc. Magnificent and imposing statue.

The ancient city was interesting, complete with statues of warriors in brilliant color. It is a large area, and requires a fair bit of walking. after walking Tiennaman square, terra cotta soldiers, great wall, etc...this was somewhat anticlimactic, but still enjoyable.

Which were cool. But I just saw the city walls of Chester and York in England 4 months ago, so these were a little anti climactic. It was cool that they had two walls between which they trapped people and shot them like sitting ducks....More
