We were at the Macrocapa Cafe getting coffee and preparing our own bikes to do the Fishers track and were trying to find the owner of the kiwi MTB hire who's seems to operate from the inside of the cafe. No one seemed to know where he was. There was a couple there with their son who'd hired mountain bikes... More

Did the Fisher track in "extreme weather conditions" which made it all the more exciting, bit of mud and lots of water on the trail which resulted in us taking a little longer than usual. Scenery was fantastic, wild animals and awesome landscapes. Aotearoa at its finest. Richard was a great help, very friendly, and shared his great knowledge of... More

We rented 3 mountain bikes and rode the Fisher Track from National Park village to the west for around 20km. Great ride down through the mountain paths, after a good ride up to start. A bit of a slog at the end to get to the pickup point. Ness met us right on time, and milkshakes back at the shop... More

It had rained the day before but the weather cleared for us which was great. The track was wet and there are little waterfalls... More

We did the Tongariro crossing in the AM and needed an afternoon activity- happened to meet Rick in town over lunch and so we hired some bikes and did Fishers Track in the afternoon. Rick is a super nice guy who explained the route very well which was exactly what we were looking for- a super scenic and easy 2-2.5... More

If doing the Tonagririo Crosisng wasn't enough on the hottest day in Feb, my hubby and brother also suggested we should go Mountain biking. The owner took us through all the gear, taking the time to explain everying incl directions on a hand drawn map and where he would meet us to pick us up in the van. He also... More
