We started walking up not realising how far you have to climb to get to the tepozteco. Tepozteco is not the mountain, it's actually the pyramid sitting on top of the mountain. The views from up there are gorgeous. It can take up to 1-2...More

The hike is quite exhausting and it's only possible with sneaker or even hiking shoes as the stones are slippery. We went on a Sunday and it was way to crowded, go on other days or come early. Bring water, it gets so hot! Make...More

Even though the pyramid itself isn't really big, the view is worth the effort of getting there! Moreover, it's really fun to climb the mountain. I highly recommend you wear tennis and get there at 9 am (when they open the park) as the later...More

It seems easier to climb all the way up than you probably think. Get ready for a good hiking. The pyramid is not as big as you probably think but it's definitely worth the view. As they say you can fill yourself with good vibes...More

As others have mentioned, the climb up can be arduous ... but that depends on your fitness level and, to some extent, your choice of footwear. I was pretty amazed at the lack of forethought in some folks' choice of shoes. Yes, it takes anywhere...More

The climb to the top of the mountain is an absolute must. The whole experience is beautiful and the view from the top is breathtaking.

Overall it was a great family time, a bit demanding but totally worth it. Nice little pyramid at the top and totally worth view of the village and surrounding nature.

Really enjoyed the hike up this mountain. It wasn't too difficult. Once you get to the top, if you want to go up to the pyramid you need to pay $50. It's worth it for the view more than seeing the pyramid which is pretty...More

We climbed slowly to the pyramid. The view and pyramid are well worth the effort. Bring lots of water, and maybe some energy food.

The climb to the temple is the equivalent to 120 stories in a sky scaper. The stones are uneven and the footing slippery when wet. I am 60 and in just OK shape and it took me 1.5 hours to climb. Worth it for the...More

You might find a private guide in Cuernavaca, at any Spanish language school, there is no special tour for the area. Actually, it is not worth it, this attraction has more of a physical element and the enjoyment of nature... More

At the base of the trail up to the pyramid there was a restaurant which looked like it had lovely views. If I'd had more time before catching my bus back to Mexico City I would have tried there.
