Very peaceful.....away from all the typical touristy areas. We had a rental car and toured most of the Island, we stumbled upon the area, then followed the signs to the Bay. We were in Barbados over Christmas/New Year's when it is very busy but you...More

Lovely tranquil beach. Even though a lot of seaweed had been deposited on the beach - you cannot fault nature - the whole bay itself was lovely. You cannot swim in the ocean, the waves are too fierce - it didn't stop me paddling at...More

I came here (from England) with a friend (from France). A few of my friends from the island suggested that given the seaweed problem, I should not visit. I'm so glad I didn't listen! This stunning beach took my breath away, and was by far...More

A picturesque beach which was deserted when we visited. It was just us, the palm trees, sand and sea. Beware of the south east coast waves which can give you a tumble if you get the timing wrong. The palm trees offer welcome shade. This...More

Hired a mini moke for the day and travelled around the island visiting various beaches. Bottom Bay is beautiful, secluded and one of the most stunning in Barbados. As long as you prefer seclusion rather than beach bars and facilities then this is beach is...More

Bottom bay is the iconic desert island beach. To reach it, you park at the top of some steps which are not apparent at first, when we visited there were three locals at the top of the steps, they were selling coconut water and other...More

i would look into Sapphire Beach condos. We just stayed there and we know the owners of a few condos. Very safe, Guards on duty, gated. Nice restaurants very close. Feel free to ask me for more details.

Its a bit in the middle of nowhere so you need a car and there are no bars or restaurants near by. Being on the beach alone, although seemed safe, may be a little daunting for a lady alone, but the locals and beach sellers... More

Yes there is a bus that drops you off on the main road, however it's about a 10 minute walk to the beach. As someone mentioned before it's about a ten minute drive from Crane Beach to Bottom Bay. Hope this helps!
