Said to be the oldest miniature railway in the U.K. Recent upgrading of facilities include a new station with cafe and many of the original steam engines.

This little steam train has been running around Marine Lake for years, its familiar "toot toot" can be heard for miles. On a sunny day, it is a lovely ride around the lake, the carriages are good for families and it is certainly an experience for the youngsters to see an actual steam train. Well worth a visit if you... More

My family has worked on here many years ago. Lovely piece of history and well kept classic miniture trains around the lake. Reccomend. Small car park near lake and one by lake

What a wonderful day, sun is shining and the Miniature Railway at Marine Lake is in full steam. We love to walk around the lake or take a ride on a steam train around the lake. It is great watching families having fun whatever interests they love best; ie boating, walking, crabing, playing in the sand or just relaxing but... More

I'm always delighted to take my grandchildren(and their parents) to the Marine Lake. The volunteers who maintain this attraction always manage to educate and enthuse visitors. Young and old are assured of a warm welcome and an exciting journey often steam hauled around the Lake. My grandson when he visits, always demands that grandad takes him on the 'adventure'. There... Went for the teddy bears picnic and when kids brought a teddy they got a free go on the train, absolutely loved it. Beautiful lake.

I have visited the railway several times with my two young daughters and we love it every time. Lovely train ride, gift shop all very reasonably priced. Ice creams, drinks. Would recommend you take cash. Brilliant museum with an old steam engine for the children to sit on. Whistles to pull, signals to change. Great fun. Clean toilets on site.... More
