You can never quite get away from the noise of the motorway but this is a great park with lovely walks along the river and through to the canal. Good facilities for children and a much better than average cafe.

The cafe has helpful staff, reasonable prices, excellent cake, clean toilets and a veranda where one can sit and watch the dog playing in the stream. brilliant. There is a good canal and nature trail walk and Fran's Cafe does drinks and jacket potatoes. Parking...More

This is a nice, hidden-away, smallish park that is particularly good for a picnic with young children (pre-teens); or for adults who wish to cycle or walk to the canal and go along the picturesque tow-walk. There is a small creek for kids to wade...More

Just a quick visit, seemed like a nice park with facilities and a good looking kids play area. Definitely worth a visit with kids, dogs or a nice picnic!

Thanks to our beloved sat nav we located this park and had a decent wander in the pouring rain. Parking was free as we hold a blue badge. As for the park, when we entered we noticed an excellent children's wooden play area. After we parked,several...More

Pleasant place for a stroll on a nice Spring day. Parking charges are outrageous though - £3.70 for up to 3 hours - no hourly rate. Introduced recently I think - excessive and unnecessary.

I come from Yorkshire so I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to areas of beauty. This was a nice park. I walked most of it. People were friendly on the walkways. Could do with some new signposts in some places. I spent about 4...More

Not a dog owner but would imagine dogs must be kept on a lead. Entry to the park is free, which is as it should be as parking charges are extortionate.
