Man alive, you have to come here. Ruins not just of the original Greek settlement but of the Roman one that came after. It’s big enough to be incredibly impressive but not so big to be overwhelming (which can definitely be true with not-so-big kids...More

We went with our 16-22 age young adults and spent about 4 hours in the ruins and museum. The comentry was both informative and interesting to all. There are some nice mosaics and the reconstruction of part of the forum gives a good insight into...More

We spent about 4 hours walking through Empúries ruins while listening to the audio guide. Empúries, also known as Ampurias, was a town on the Mediterranean coast of the Catalan comarca of Alt Empordà in Catalonia, Spain. It was founded in 575 BC by Greek...More

We spent the best part of 4 hours here wandering around the Greek and Roman ruins. The audio guide provides a detailed explanation of the area and is a must if you are to understand the place. Some interesting mosaics (inside the museum also). The...More

Very good way to learn a bit of ancient history of the Greek and Roman influence on the area. Decent audio tour but the kids got a bit bored by the end

Really recommend visiting and allowing a good couple of hours. We hadn’t appreciated how big the site was so tried to rush round in 90 minutes. We missed the last bit of the Roman city and rushed through the museum. The audio guide was included...More

Definitely the morning. The sites faces east so the sun would be coming from that side and anyway at that time of the year the light will be relatively soft as it will be late autumn or winter.

There is a beach there but we didn't use it. If you have a car there are plenty if beaches in the area. 😊

I am not sure. I don't remember seeing any dogs but that doesn't mean they are not allowed. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
