We visited Lacerta Winery for a wine tasting. First we got introduced to the process of making wine and went to the wine cellar after which the real thing started, to taste the wines! Marian especially provided great advice and shared his knowledge with interesting details.

A relaxing and learning trip for all the family, it’s a small and young winery, but with decent wines and friendly people, give it a chance!

We booked a wine tasting here a couple of weeks ahead of our road trip in Transylvania. We were welcomed by Mihai who guided us through the hole wine making process in detail. After that we tasted six different wines, all very pleasant. This place is a bit ”off”, I guess not a lot of tourists come here. Lucky for us, we had a private tasting. I highly recommend this winery, we will definitly come back. Many thanks to Mihai!

Seldom you find a wine sommelier who goes into every detail to explain you not only about the winery but also wine in general. For us who love wine, this was an experience that was the most memorable. We have done wineries in New Zealand, Croatia, Napa Valley, France, Georgia but this was the most unique, personalised, non-commercialized. And the best part was that it was nestled in the mountains secluded from the world.

Thank you Mihai😊

Mihai guided us through a very professional, insightful and most importantly fun wine tasting. Perfect for a group of friends looking to celebrate a birthday! Great value for money well. Food could be better, but I guess that’s not what it is about.

LACERTA is a relatively new winery in the Dealu Mare region 🇹🇩 (100 km far from Bucharest) rather famous in Romania for wine production (particularly red wines). It is owned by four businessmen, three Austrian and one German, and was set up in 2003.
The assortment is made of international grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Blaufraenkisch, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rheinriesling, Muscat Ottonel and Chardonnay, as well as the Romanian grape varieties Feteasca Neagra and Feteasca Alba.
Rigorous and severe selection of the grape with important reduction in the vineyards. The wines are maturated either in stainless steel or in oak barrels from Romania, France, USA, Russia, Hungary.
Yearly production: approximately 250.000 bottles. The modern winery offers a beautiful terrace room for wine tasting or you can decide to taste inside. Professional staff and pleasant tasting.
