This church, a few Kms from Barberino, is venerable both for its antiquity and for art features. The church is well preserved; it shows a clear difference between the left side, which is the oldest (XI century) and the right side, more "modern" (XII century). Walked to Sant'Appiano from Barberino Val D'elsa. Well worth the walk and to see this fine church was such a bonus. set in a quite village so typical of the area. Lots of locals harvesting olives as we walked along very pleasant. Only saw the outside of the church and ruins along side. But worth the 2 hour walk there... More

This church has a wonderful architecture and at the main entrance, don't miss the steep stairway and the columns, remainder of the original church Make sure to visit the courtyard

We were treated to a wonderful, entertaining performance by Pietro Adragna on piano accordian and Sergio Odori on percussion in the old church, followed by delicious local Italian food in the walled courtyard under the stars. Superb!

we visited this little church on a local tour which we took with the council from Florence. It was one of the local sites of interest they took us to. There is also a lovely couryard garden along side. Well worth a visit.
