Because we visited on sunday there were only 2 workers in the factory and we couldn't get an impression what the running business is like. The tour could be longer and more detailed but one could get an idea of how glas is made and the guide was entertaining. We made our own vase which is a beautiful souvenir to... More

We were disappointed with this attraction to be honest, this was the only attraction that offered senior admission so don't want to be too critical. However the film offered was only in German so we had no idea what was being said and could only watch the pictures to see what it was trying to show us about the glass... More

Had a very informative tour of this glass-blowing factory. The tour guide's English was excellent. Seize the chance to blow your own vase. If you go to the shop after the tour, lock your money away first! The temptation to buy is irresistible.

We arrived mostly clueless about what to expect but the friendly staff helped us start the tour of the glassworks where despite our lack of German, we understood the demonstrations. Blowing your own vase appeals to children and adults..everyone was intent on choosing the colors and patters for their own masterpieces and with a lot of help from professionals, we... More

We stopped here on our way to Triberg and it was worth the visit. The staff was nice and some spoke English, which was helpful for us since we don't know much German. They have nice displays of things they've made with descriptions of what they are and such. The signs they had were nice because not only were they... More

This visit at the factory should more interest children then adults. The interesting point is the glass production process demonstrated by the workers. The visitors can also pay take part and buy the waze they've produced. Some of the exhibits are nice some are not. A big disadvantage is the lack of English guidance.Worth a visit to glasswork fans.

If you like to discover how things are made this place is a must. I strongly recommend to watch the video (when you enter to your right.) even if you don't understand German. It shows the whole process of glad making and when you see the inside of the glass factory it all makes more sense. Make sure you check... More

We read alot abot glass factory and came back disappointed. No one there speaks english. If you wanna experience the glass making and get ugly Vaza you should pay 15 (!) €. All the art is selling for high price at the museum - so don't even bother. I gave 3 stars since you can at least see how they... More

We loved our visit to the Dorotheenhutte! Not only to blow your own glass vase and watch the craftsmen make beautiful glass bowls, but there's also a beautiful permanent Christmas market where you can buy ornaments.

Really it was exciting and colorful to see the making of glass vase. They give us an option of various color combinations before making the vase. It is beautiful to see how the vase is developed from the molten glass mixture by blowing. A must visit if you happen to visit black forest
