While touring the area, our group of two Canadian couples decide to do some wine tasting at the Citadelle, based on the recommendation of a friend who had visited the facility several years earlier.
The wine we tasted was exceptional and prompted us to purchase several bottles for later enjoyment.
The tour of the corkscrew museum which is an integral component of the facility, was absolutely fascinating - displaying corkscrews from different eras and different countries around the world!
A “must visit” when in this part of France!

Very good wine, nice tasting room in beautiful area - the town is the basis for Peter Mayall’s book Year in Provence.

If you were to visit any place you must absolutely visit this one for sure. We heard about this place and we’re so glad we came. Set in a beautiful location, the drive to this place you pass lovely vineyards. The building is beautifully constructed and it has a gift shop if you happen to like souvenirs that are tasteful and elegant. We were greeted by a very sweet lady with bright red hair. She was so worldly wise and made for excellent conversation while we sipped the wines. She spoke English and give us a wonderful history of the grapes, how they are classified by terrain and they’re famous corkscrew museum. She’ll ask you what you like to drink rather than go through all the wines like a mill. I happen to like white and rose wines but we enjoyed everything so much we tried out the Reds. They also happen to have a medicinal herbal garden which is worth visiting with kids. It is a shame that it is difficult to import French wines, because wines from other countries and even American wines use way too many sulfites. The French use few sulfites, and their wine is impeccable.
We got two rose’s and a red- the Artemis rose and the gouverneur red. We will be back!

This is a good stop for local wines. Owned by the former mayor of Menerbes. Our favorite is their red called “Artemis.” Part of their tasting room includes a corkscrew(“tire buchon”) museum and a small gift shop.

We visited the winery after recommendations by the locals, the staff were fantastic, spoke English and showed us around the place as well as the necessary wine tasting (most of which were fantastic).
A great little winery in the Luberon.

What a fantastic restaurant and perfect for our final night in Louberon. Having been incredibly disappointed with a local restaurant the night before we were not sure what to expect . But this restaurant did not disappoint. It location is stunning and easy to access. Parking ample. We hadn't reserved a table so on a Sunday evening we didn't hold out too many hopes. The welcome was warm and professional and the owners were incredibly helpful. I am gluten free and this normally sends the shudders into most restaurant staff in France but again this was not an issue. The quality and presentation of food was amazing . The ambiance was perfect. This would make a perfect location for a special occasion. Deserts and wine were also perfect. Absolutely no complaints and surrounding establishments should look to you for guidance on how to achieve 5 stars. I only wish we had thought of coming here earlier in our stay. Many thanks for your award winning hospitality. The Davidson's.

Enjoyed our visit. An intern was friendly, spoke good English, and explained several wines including an excellent rose and decent reds. After tasting several wines, we each got a glass of wine for 2.5 euro and walked around the vineyard, museum, and gardens.

Our group of 12 adults visited the Domaine de la Citadelle & had a wonderful time. The botanical garden was fascinating, as was (to our surprise) the corkscrew museum. The wine tasting was fun & informative and the wine itself delicious!
We’ve had such a warm welcome each time we’ve visited. And we’ll be back again soon!

We enjoyed our wine tasting here. The server was friendly, spoke excellent English and had a great sense of humor. Be sure to visit the Corkscrew Museum, which is part of this winery. There are hundreds of corkscrews and many are antique (150+ years old). There is also a lovely gift shop.

Do you have to pre-book a tour? what are the admission prices for 2 x adults and 3 x children? thanks

It is helpful to call ahead to verify hours and admission. I believe their hours are a function of the seasons.
The corkscrew museum is fascinating and quite informative.
For current information look at their website.
