We visited Pulangbato on a Monday, so there were not a lot of people. The place is instagram worthy :) There is a mini falls and big falls. You can both swim on either or both of them. The big falls is quite a challenge because it is much colder the other falls. Some people would just go there to have their picture taken and not plunge in the water. So there was no one swimming because of the freezing cold water. We wanted to experience it so all of us went in for a swim!
We also went swam on the other side because the water is a little bit warmer than the other one. They have room accommodation in the place. Pulangbato is less than hour from the city.

I am not a falls person but this place made me reconsider. Unlike other beautiful falls that takes some trekking, this one's easy to reach but still beautiful. It's not as complicated as other falls but the best experience is its mist cooling your face and it has rocky parts perfect for relaxed dipping. If you're a good swimmer, there's a portion deep enough for swimming.
It feels like a resort (has cottages, a store selling food and beer) but not touristy as there are just the right amount of people.
There are two falls in the area, with a suspension bridge linking the cottage area to the main falls.

Naturally beautiful...easy access by car and a very short flat walk to the small falls and there cafe area. Water was cooler than other falls in the PI. The two falls are about 50 meters apart. The accomadations looked interesting.

We arrived a bit early and they just opened the place. They are building a new hut by the entrance and renovating the restrooms.
The whole place is really lovely, clean and well-maintained. It is quite nice to explore although it is not really big. I liked the feel of nature!
There are two waterfalls and you can swim in both. There is a hanging bridge to access the bigger waterfalls and the waters are quite cool.
There is a store where you can buy drinks and snacks. The staff are also friendly.

this place is a getaway for families especially during weekends. be warned that theres no cottages only tables for picinics and day use. there's 2 small falls and 1 big main waterfall.
tips in going there: go to jeepney terminal going to "Pulangbato", Valencia town. prepare for overloaded jeepney ride for 30-45 mins. get off at a corner going to Barangay Malabo. You can opt to hike 15 mins. to a well-paved road or take a habal2x ride. It's only a short uphill/downhill going there. only entrace fee will be required for Php10 each. there's limited trips from Valencia going back to Dumaguete so ask for the last jeepney trip so you can catch it when you plan to get back and not get stuck or pay a lot more for special trip back to the city.

I've been here several times and the last time I was there I noticed they had added a pretty good size natural pool between the parking lot and the falls. They appear to be doing additional upgrades to the parking area as well. If you want to see a falls that doesn't require a lot of walking and climbing, this is the place. You also can't beat the entrance fee which is still only 10 peso. Try to go during the week when it's not to crowded. I've been the only one there on a weekday and been there on a weekend when a large group basically took over the whole area. Make sure to follow all the paths for some great picture taking opportunities.

Would have like to have spent more time here - but was rushed due to walking the last mile or so by virtue of having taken a trike rather than a motorbike. (See my other review of Red Rock Springs). Several pools for swimming built in a nice little complex around the powerful falls themselves looked like a place definitely worth half a days visit. And where you could swim whilst possibly having a picnic. The remote location meant that unlike other falls it was not inundated with people or children. If you visit be sure to visit the red rock thermal spring pool about a third the way up to it.

Another wonder located in the lushness of Valencia. While the amenities could use a lot of improvement (changing rooms and clean toilets), the place isn't that bad. They have accessible cottages with outdoor grills for sinugbang baboy and isda (grilled pork and fish). There are 3 swimming pools where one could enjoy the cool water. Be sure to have your cameras, monopods and phones ready to capture the colors of the mineral rich rocks that surround the waterfall. To top it all off, the entrance fee 20php is very friendly for those who are on a tight budget. Cottages are rented out at 200php. This place is definitely a must-see.
