This Lord Shiva temple is situated at harihar ashram in haridwar.
(not related to combined form of Shiva and Vishnu- also called harihar)
It has a Full sized Parad Shivling (made of mercury) , which is considered very powerful for worshiping. This big parad shivling is very rare.
Seperately in the ashram is another shiva temple called mrityunjay mandir.
Then there is also an Rudraksha tree, which is also very rare to be found at such low altitude. Normally this tree is found only at very high altitude in Himalayan Mountain Ranges.
You can get samples of raw rudrasha fruits fallen on the ground and can buy dried real rudraksha beads and real rudraksha maalas from the ashram.

Parad Shivling is situated in Harihar Ashram, Kankhal. Harihar Ashram is located at a distance of 2Km from Haridwar. The Parad Shivling is made of Mercury, weighing about 150 kg.This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is visited by large number of devotees every year.
Apart from this, there is a Three Mukhi Rudraksha tree - which is one of its kind in India. When the Rudrakha is ready, it is given as Prasadam. There is also a temple of 'Maha Mrityunjay'. These are the main attractions of this Ashram.

Parad Shivling which is made of mercury and weighing about 150 kg is located inside a temple in Harihar Ashram, Kankhal. Harihar Ashram is located at a distance of 2Km from Haridwar - where main attraction is the Parad Shivling, also there is another big and beautiful temple in the ashram premises dedicated to Lord Shiva and then there is a big Rudraksha tree. Parad Shivling is in harihar ashram, which can be visited while going towards Daksh Mahadev Temple. It can be reached by public transport. Shared autos are there at Shivmurti Chowk near Haridwar Railway Station, which charge 10-15 Rs. Rudraksh tree is also there in front of this temple, which was amazing.

The large mercury shivling is outstanding & unusual .....pervades a lot of calm and serenity.another factor stands out in this place .... The entire complex of this ashram and temples is unusually clean & neat !!!
Regretfully , most temples surroundings tend to be dirty & unkempt but this one is 👍👍👍

This happens to be a unique Shiva Temple where the Shiva Linga has about 150 Kgs of Mercury. The temple shrine has a Three Faced Rudraksha tree & the very existence of a full blown Rudraksha tree in itself in such a plain land is a mystery.
It is believed that this Mercury Shiva Linga can cure all the diseases of the patrons if they pray with honesty & belief.
The temple is also called Maha Mrityunjay Temple, Harihar Ashram, Para Shiva Linga etc. In Indian languages like Hindi or Bengali, Mercury (chemical symbol Hg) is know as Para or Parad.
The temple is not very crowded & it is always possible to have a quiet & peaceful Darshan
