This is a unique temple, with an interior crafted entirely from glass and mirrors. There is no designated shoe stand, so you must leave your footwear near the entrance. Entry is free, and photography is allowed inside the temple. The walls are adorned with depictions of various incidents from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, created with mirrors and colorful glass. A complete visit may take around 30 minutes.

I was told that Pawan Dham Temple is one of the most visited Hindu temples in Haridwar. When I saw it, I wasn’t surprised. The design and layout of the temple is very distinctive. Much of the interior is decorated in a mixture of mirrors and colour glass tiles. One of the presiding deities is a Vishvarupa or universal form of Krishna. Not something I see often in Hindu temples, so it was doubly interesting.

We visited this unique glass temple during our trip to Haridwar and it was a nice experience.
The temple is famed for it's fantastic glass and mirrorwork and it's elaborately garbed idols. Pawan Dham Temple is situated just two km from Haridwar, along the Rishikesh road. The temple is noted for the exquisite mirror and glasswork. The elaborately decorated idols in the temple are worth visiting. One can take an auto from Har-ki-pauri to reach this place in 15 min - definately worth a visit.

The place is well connected however cleanliness inside the place needs improvement. It was one of the best places of worship, a few years back however it is now losing the desired impact.

The Ashram is clean and well maintained. The Glass temple attached with the Ashram is a must watch. Carry your lock always if you plan to visit this Ashram.

Pawan Dham is an ashram mainly for pilgrims. Here u get good accommodation 24 hr generator facility , seperate arrangement for drivers, separate parking for vehicles and a very peaceful environment. Its located very near to shiv ghat and well connected to har ki pauri via autos. Autos charge Rs 5 per person for Bhim Gauda and from there u can walk / get a rikshaw to har ki pauri.
Its the best place to stay if u are in Haridwar for peace of mind form hustle bustle of big cities.

It sounds like a very exciting place as you will hear that this place is made of only glass. But in reality its not exactly like that. wall graphics are done with coloured glass parts, and thats it.
