This is a must for anyone visiting Haridawar. The aarti starts at 6:40, but get there at least an hour before the scheduled time and make sure that you go and sit across the river so that you get a direct view of the ceremony.

I must say that the entire Ganga Aarti looks like beautiful good-looking picturization of a mythological movie. Its a pretty descriptive and self-explanatory variaton on “beautiful” enigma that when such kind of holy pray is going, you feel the purity with in.

Well you cannot book online. But you really donot need to book as ganga aarti is conducted on ganga river ghat which are huge and spacious. Best way to watch it is to go a bit early and sit there. Or go to opposite side and... More
