Beautiful beach with white sand, seashells and really friendly people. Be sure to walk the full length of the beach and sample some of the delights along the shore from kite surfing to some really excellent coffee! Well worth the stroll along the beach for...More

Paje beach is clean, beautiful turquoise water, friendly beachgoers, friendly locals, a hive of activity. Water is warm and on some daysyou can wade up to 1km into the ocean and the level will only be knee deep.

I loved this beach, especially the white sand and crystal blue water. It's just a shame that there was garbage in the water and on the beach.

I had no expectation of Paje nor had done any prior research before I went. But I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely Paje beach was. Being surrounded by a reef, the water was calm and shallow and for anyone wanting to relax and splash...More

Excellent beach, long and clean. Perfect for kite surfing, with a lot of wind! Definitely one of the best beaches in Zanzibar.

Paje beach is all connected! it is amazing to take a walk in the early morning or even enjoying the moon in a wide view at night! we had the chance to see locals fishing and collecting seaweed when it is low-tide!

Great spot for kitesurfing and relaxing. Beach is beautiful, sleepy, rather undeveloped. If you are not an avid kite surfer, there is not much to do.

OK, there is one store with basic supplies and liquor store an green market in village which you pass through on way from beach to stores. No ice, and it is better that way. Avoid ice or any form of non bottled water.

You are absolutely right. Only Nungwi and Kendwa are swimmable all day long. Eastern beaches are swimmable at high tide hours only. The specific times are announced daily by the hotels. At other times, you can walk in the... More
