To find anything in Fiji ask a local, often they will get into the car to direct you for a lift. Sign post are few and far between but that is part of the fun. We were in a suki swift very low to the ground. Did some interesting back road traveling. We looked down barrels, out to sea, climb... More

This place is about 10kms inland from Queens road .Entry fees is $5 and the views are amazing. OLD world War 2 guns are there and alot to learn about the history .If you are driving it's better to use 4wd . Roads leading to this site is not sealed .

A beautiful historic gun emplacement of yesteryear overlooking the reef and open sea. To visit this historic spot is a must. It has all been beautifully restored and maintained over the last 60 odd years. It is very isolated and located on a prominent landscaped hilltop overlooking the ocean.--- beautiful to say the least..

The battery site was difficult to locate and needed to ask directions. Once on site, a tour guide takes you around the site. The big batteries really turn back time and give you a glimpse of history. The place has amazing views of the near by hills and coastlines and is a delight to visit. The site also has a... More

We read about the site in a brochure by a tour company. The site is managed by National Trust of Fiji (a gift from a US philanthropist, apparently) & entry price is modest. The unsealed road in is OK, but needs to be taken slowly. The one staff member on site seemed very pleased to have a couple of customers... More

We took a hire car to the Battery Historic Park at Momi Bay. The park was closed so we decided to take a look around anyways. The views from the park are amazing! You've got rolling hills on one side and ocean views on the other. Finding the park was really difficult and we had to stop and ask the... More

Seeing this artillery / coastal defense site brought out the history lover in me. You can almost visualize the Japanese landing craft that the men manning this battery were keeping an eye out for. Helps bring the war into sharper focus. Stunning views of the surrounding coastal areas (which is why the guns were sited here!)

Can't believe we had never been. Never too old to recap on history. Breathtaking views of Momi Passage, as well clear views of Tavarua Island.

The gun emplacement has a great history and is placed in a strategic position looking out to the Yasawas and the Mamanuca's.

Awesome history and views. Used Mick's Fiji to get here. Cost $10FJD for a family of 4 and this includes a guide. Our kids loved this and we did too.
