We rented two bicycles in Bombastic and rode out to Morro. We were initially told to beware of snakes on the hike but once you don't veer off the track you should be fine.
The hike can be a little strenuous in the heat so bring water with you. It's not necessary to have hiking boots we did it in trainers.
The views are fantastic. There are a few stop off points on the way up but the best are saved for last. Great to have a panoramic camera for 360 shots of the islands the beaches and the town below.
A highlight of a day away from the lazy time spent on the beautiful beaches.

In some points of the mountain there are some spots to tease what you'll see up there. Trust me, they doesn't look so good as the top view. The way up it's not hard, so do watherever you can to reach te top. When there, enjoy the view!

It's a good option for those in love with nature and hiking. Not difficult for beginers, but takes more than one hour to climb to the top. Despite that, the view is worth the effort.

If you love to go trekking or just want to see a beautiful view from the top of the nature, you should try this out. Take your best camera and go! The view is just awesome, you stand in the top and can see the two beaches, Canto Grande and Mariscal, if I'm not mistaken.

Steep hill with loose pebbles and dirty narrow trails.
The view is insanely beautiful from the top, but due to the lack of safety and hard access, I would leave little ones and "less athletic" people waiting at the base of the hill (Mariscal beach and several bars and restaurants can be enjoyed there).

Morro do Macaco is within the municipal natural park with the same name. You will walk in the middle of the Atlantic forest while you rise 191 meters along well-marked paths. On the way you will see a view more beautiful than another. Bring water and comfortable shoes. Do not wear flip flops, mules or flip flops. Bring repellent. Don't go off the trail, this is important because it is the natural habitat of the canaina, a very territorial species of cobra, especially when it lays its eggs. Although it is not poisonous, it bites like a dog. Although it is a trail of medium difficulty, it can be done calmly and the effort is worth it. My mother uploaded it when she was over 70 years old. Beautiful experience! It took us about 30 minutes walking, the path was quite easy. At the entrance they take the information of one of the group and ask you where you are staying, they did not charge us anything, I had heard that they charged 10 reais per person, but we did it for free. Highly recommended even though we had a very cloudy day

Olá Juliana, tudo bem?
A trilha faz parte de um Parque Natural, não há proibições para crianças, porém os pequenos precisam de atenção constante dos pais e responsáveis, pois não há barreiras, principalmente nas pedras no topo do morro.
. Algumas dicas de segurança:
- Procure horários alternativos, evite horários de calor excessivo (entre 11 e 14 horas) .
- Use calçados fechados, leve água e passe protetor solar.
- O uso de máscaras é obrigatório em todo município de Bombinhas, inclusive no parque.
O tempo de duração da trilha é em torno de 1h30 (ida e volta) depende muito do condicionamento físico de cada pessoa, a sugestão é que suba tranquilamente , com calma... mas geralmente leva uns 40 minutos para subir e 30 para descer.
Curta bastante, tire bastante fotos pois vale muita a pena a visita.

O acesso ao mirante do Morro do Macaco é feito por uma trilha ecológica, com entrada a partir da praia de Canto Grande Mar de Dentro próximo ao costão esquerdo. A trilha é considerada de dificuldade média/moderada e leva de 30 a 40 minutos para chegar até o topo, aproximadamente 1km de subida. A subida é bastante íngreme e deve ser feita com calçado fechado, preferencialmente quando o sol e o calor não forem tão intensos e exige muita atenção. No caminho há pontos para descansar e outros mirantes, nos quais você pode tirar fotos incríveis e recuperar o fôlego. No entanto, não recomendamos que grávidas e pessoas com problemas cardíacos façam a trilha, por motivos de segurança.

La entrada és gratuíta, si recomienda ir temprano para evitar el calor del sol, zapatos cerrados y llevar una botella de água.

Para chegar é uma aparentemente calma e sem problemas para estacionar, é uma praia de pescadores, não existe praticamente nenhuma estrutura de apoio para quem vai subir, pelo menos no dia que fui, o ideal é subir logo de manhã para pegar um tempo mais ameno.
