Great day out for all the family - assuming you like birds! Loads of brightly coloured tropical birds in cages, walkthrough aviaries and perched around the park, most of which can be hand fed with bird feed bought at the ticket kiosk. Well kept, but a little run down in some places. Lots of educational information and guides on the... More

Went with the wife and toddler. Free for under 3's to enter. This place is fantastic. The birds are lovely to see. The wooded walk was lovely for mini me to run around. We ate in the cafe which was cheap and simple however we were lucky to be served first as everyone behind me was then served by the... More

This was a fantastic day out! We arrived about 11am and didn't leave till 3.30. It's not a huge place but lots to see. We loved the bit at the end where you can hold the parrots! Careful when wearing any clothes with buttons, they get them off pretty quickly! I'd advise you take earings and jewellery off too! Couple... More

Had a nice first time visit here .was expecting it to be a massive greenhouse type place however all the birds are in the fresh air ( do wonder if the burds manage to survive our 'lovely ' weather though .... ) However today the sun was out .the place itself isn"t bad value 29.00 and that was including two... We spent a lovely afternoon here with two small girls. They loved feeding the birds and getting up close to them and they were very entertained the whole afternoon. There are a couple of parts that are looking a little tired and could do with some upkeep, but on the whole we had a great day out and will definitely... More

This is a little gem in the Leicestershire countryside. Visited for the first time this afternoon and was not disappointed. A fascinating collection of rare and tropical birds which you can interact with and learn many interesting facts. It is quite small but if you are worried about it being boring or too child-oriented then don't. Give it a try.... More

Visited with my mum today in a wheel chair we are always looking for something to do that is accessible. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and as I was classed as a carer my entrance fee was only £3.00. Birds were stunning and the bird walk at the end a delight and real fun. Stayed for about two hours including drink and... More

This is the most beautiful place for anyone who loves wildlife and a must for every bird lover. Could not fault it. The birds look well cared for, I really enjoy handling some of them. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice food in the cafe. Fair entrance price. Much better than any large zoo. If I would live... More
