This cold spring turned out to be merely a toilet stop for us. Entrance fee was 10 pesos. Loud, unseemly karaoke music was playing with discordant locals singing (many Filipino(a)s are beautiful singers: these were not). The cold spring is rundown: the concrete needs painting, the nipa huts look grotty. The whole place looks like a demolition job. We dipped... More

I first went to Banahaw Spring in 1999 when it was nothing but a hole with cool water inside. As the years have gone on, the owners of the place have turned it into a small recreational site, which is rather pleasant.
