A small sleepy town which I enjoyed visiting if only to see that the locals were getting on with life happily after the atrocities inflicted upon the village during ww2

On 03JUN41 180 residents of the town were murdered by Nazi Soldiers. Important to remember what can happen when we allow racial hatred to spread.

Small but very moving plaques (replicas of the original) remembering the massacre and destruction of the entire town by Germans on 3 June 1941 in reprisal for the death of 25 of their soldiers.

This village was burned by the Nazis as retribution for 25 paratroopers being killed by Partisans in 1941. It is now a thriving small town.
