We were too cheap to stay there but I would recommend the FREE tour at 4PM, weekdays. Miles was our tour guide and he did a great job of helping us understand the history of the hotel, which has to do with the history of...More

If you want to stay in Yosemite in style, this is the place to stay. Class and luxury in the midst of majestic beauty. Pricey, to be sure, but sometimes you deserve to treat yourself right. We stayed in the cabins, which were comfortable and...More

A beauty within Yosemite Valley. I've been going since I was a kid. However, I will always call it the Ahwahnee Hotel and hope the name returns.

Booked this in 2016 for my husband's 70th birthday in May, 2017. Gorgeous place. If you can't get a reservation, at least stop by at 4pm for the daily free tour. It is a gorgeous place. You can visualize past Presidents basking in the glow...More

We have never stayed here but love to walk around the hotel and grounds. We have enjoyed the dinning room and bar which offered outdoor seating and a little lower cost on their lunch menu. Someday maybe we will pay to stay.

This is the fanciest and most expensive place to stay or eat in the valley. If not staying here, at least drop in for a walk-through of the hotel.

We visited during a rainy day in the valley (couldn't afford to stay here). This is a stunning structure and we loved visiting the public spaces. Impressive fireplaces, lovely rooms and views.

Recently, we returned to Yosemite Port for a road trip. I forgot how stunning Yosemite's is especially at this time of year with a number of waterfalls gushing over the granite walls of the mountains. By far the best place to stay; have a lunch/dinner;...More

This well known lodge is a wonderful place for a hot chocolate beside a roaring fire, or a G&T. Spent a pleasant couple of hours with the latter, watching a wedding party freeze outside. Great location. Expensive!

We are so fortunate to be able to visit this gorgeous hotel at least once a year. Each time we're there we experience the most gracious service by really well trained staff. And, each year we discover something new about the hotel or meet another...More
