We were not prepared for much hiking, more like pleasure walk, so walked here and there, visiting most of the things to see.... and above all, simply enjoying the weather, the fresh air and the views. There were lots of people like us, no wonder...More

This is the first time I didn't hike the whole trail. We walked a mile down, a mile back up, saw few people (start early) and had a wonderful morning.

My wife and I opted to give our kids the full Yosemite experience. We drove up to Glacier Point. We then flipped a coin and I lost. She got to take the kids down the Panorama trail, along the rim of the valley to the...More

My wife and I did this trek after we'd recovered from our half dome epic. This is only slightly shorter than that one and doesn't have the epic ( or terrifying!) climb of the dome, and, truth be told, it's got more scenic variety than...More

Well I will be the first to yield a poor review. It is a moderately difficult hike but nothing an average fit adult can not handle. Technically it is simple. The view is spectacular but very best at Glacier Point before you ever start walking....More

Up front I will say I loved this hike but the Mrs. hated it. Be forewarned that there is a downhill AND uphill portion. First several miles are easygoing and carefree but after awhile switchbacks start taking you back up and quite close to the...More

At 9.2 miles, this trail makes for a pretty full day of hiking (when combined with a lunch stop at Vernal Falls or some other scenic stop along the way). While parts of the trail can be quite crowded in the summer (i.e., around the...More

Oh yes! Start high up at Glacier Point and hike down and then uphill to Nevada Fall. Drink in the views at the outset, then march on in forest cover. Nevada Fall is a real treat. Spend lots of time up there. Then go down...More

This was a peaceful trail from Glacier Point to Nevada Falls. It got very crowded on the trek down to the valley.

Depends on your level and which trail you intend to do. The beginning (bottom) of the 4 mile trail is pretty easy to find and you'll have no problem finding your way up to Glacier Point. If you intend to descend from... More

This year is unusual since there is so much snow still in the high country. I have been told there are 8 foot drifts. Before taking this hike this year I would check to make sure the trail is open. If it is then make sure... More
