The views from Taft point are amazing, but watch your step! We were at the trail head early morning midweek and a few other cars were already there. It was cold, but an easy hike out to the point, which we had basically to ourselves....More

Taft Point was a 1 mile hike from the car park mostly downhill through wooded area. The views once you get to Taft Point down into the valley are amazing. Tested my fear of heights at the point with the rail but didn't get to...More

This hike is about 1 mile each way from the parking lot and is pretty easy. For the most part, the hike is shaded but opens up once you get to Taft Point. A great spot for photos but be careful as there aren't many...More

we did this hike after we had done Sentinel Dome. It was easy to do both of these is the same day. The views are different but both are awesome.

We loved the Taft Point hike and overlook! it's an easy and beautiful 1 mile hike to the overlook and once you are there it's jaw-dropping. You have fantastic views of the valley floor including El Captain. We went midday on a Friday and there...More

The hike to Taft point is great hike with awesome views. The day we were there we were lucky to see some young gentlemen tightrope walking across the point with a 2000 foot drop below them. Frighteningly awesome experience to catch this experience. They were...More

A very nice stroll through the woods to an outstanding view of Yosemite Valley. Avoid the crowds at Glacier Point and stop here instead. Very limited parking, so, come early. After your hike to Taft Point, be sure to take the trail over to Sentinel...More

This is a pretty easy hike and the pay off is the amazing view. Once the path opens up onto the rock, there are fissures along the way, so make sure you look down to avoid falling into a crack that is actually a long...More

From what I remember, yes there is one. Be warned thought that is a SMALL one. Lots of people park on the side of the road. If you get there early enough, you will have no problem.
