It was very windy when we stopped here on the way to and from Mono Lake. We even had to hold on to our tripods. The view was interesting, not spectacular.

We made the drive in 2015 with our great-grand-kids. From Yosemite, we made the loop drive all the way from Fresno, Ca. to Bakersfield, Ca. What a beautiful drive.

Great way to enter the park from the east and see that part of it. Some distance from the valley floor and lots of stopping places BUT much less crowded that the more famous bits

Having just visited Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, I guess we expected a little more from Yosemite. The scenery is beautiful, very majestic and glad we had the opportunity to see it. We simply enjoyed the other parks more than Yosemite.

We just drove through it and made quick stop offs at the vistas. I didn't realise the pass had so many great looking hikes, and accommodation available. We will defiantly stop here for a couple of nights on our next pass through rather than the...More

Please go. Well worth the drive or tour. We stopped at River and walked. Took pictures and walked more. Drove and stopped at pullovers. Another view. Took more pictures.

We drove from Las Vegas to Mariposa in June 2016 and had to cross the Tioga Pass to get across the Sierra Nevada mountain range, down into Yosemite. Whilst this was an exceptionally long drive (c10 hours with stops), we were so glad to have...More

Gorgeous, high altitude route through the mountains. If you have more time, stop at Toulomne Meadows. If not, Olmstead Point is a must at least to take a few pics.

We visited Tioga in late May just after the road had opened for the season. It was cold (in the 30s), so we had to layer our clothing. We went all the way to the end to Mono Lake and on the way back it...More

What a stunning drive! We drove from Half Dome Village to Mammoth Lakes, so went over Highway 120 Tioga Pass to get there. Just the most magnificent scenery, with the snow topped peaks all around. One of the highlights was driving through Tuolumne Meadows, where...More

likely it will still be open at that time...all depends on the weather..the pass is at higher elevations so I would watch the weather channel a few days before going on the trip just to be on the safe side
