We did a great walk from old faithful, so many geysers and prismatic pools to see on the way, gives you chance to get a little away from the crowds as Old Faithful v busy.

Morning Glory pool was extremely cool but it is a long long walk. I got a blister on my little toe. If you're not used to walking perhaps you should try something else.

Morning Glory Pool is a sturdy walk away from the Old Faithful Inn but worth every step of the way. Still magnificent despite the colors appear to be changing due to some cooling of the water due to debris.

A fantastic way to end a short hike through the thermal features of Yellowstone. The pool exhibits fantastic colors and a hypnotizing depth. A bonus: the crowds that jammed the hike in its early stages had thinned out by the time we arrived. We had the pool almost to ourselves.

Amazing and beautiful. This was a wonderful walk from Old Faithful. I strongly recommend downloading the Yellowstone app and listening to some of the audio products about the different pools. You can learn about how people used to throw items into these pools for "luck", but caused significant and lasting damage. It would be easy to spend a week (or more) in and around Yellowstone National Park.

This is a very colorful pool on the far side of the Upper Geyser Basin. If you are walking from Old Faithful, it is basically the last thing you can see in this area. It is about 4 miles round trip from the visitor center and back though.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 1.25 mile walk from Old Faithful to Morning Glory Pool. Along the way we saw six (6) geyser eruptions and many of the highlights of the Upper Geyser Basin. Morning Glory Pool was our destination and it delivers.

Please don’t use it as a wishing well. It’s a fragile thermal feature and coins, junk, etc. lower the pool’s temperature, plug the vent and promote the growth of the brown bacteria rather than the striking blue.

We did the nearby trail and came up to this magnificent natural wonder... Yellowstone is amazing and full of great gems at every corner. My advice is yes go see some of the “highlights” but you see beauty everywhere.

Yes, the Morning Glory Pool is all the way at the end of Upper Geyser Basin but trust me, it's worth the walk. Also, if you are going to walk to Biscuit Basin from Upper Geyser, you will pass by Morning Glory as well. Even if you don't want to Biscuit Basin, I recommend making the walk to Morning Glory. Avoid very early in the morning and wait til late morning or early afternoon when the mists burns off.
