The South Rim Trail is very nice hike from the Chittenden Bridge along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone passing the Upper and Lower Falls to Artists Point – it was not that busy along the trail except near Uncle Tom’s...More

About a mile long trail along the rim of canyon. Not very difficult hike. Views are better along the way then at Point Sublime.

This attraction was closed while we were there. Lots of construction vehicles were entering and exiting the area. From the looks of other reviews, it only stays closed for a day or so, then re-opens. Maybe you will get lucky!

Hiked this trail in May 2017 since most other trails in the area were closed due to road/weather conditions. There was quite a bit of snow on this trail as well, but definitely doable with good hiking shoes. We had sneakers and were able to...More

While I am sure both sides are pretty impressive I personally like the south rim prettier, the angle to view the canyon and the falls is great.

Beautiful views and great photography. Easy trail, not much elevation change. Snow kept us from walking too far.

Our visit was on a cloudy and misty day, but was certainly still a great view. I shot some video of the river I really like. I very much enjoyed watching people from all over the world appreciate the beauty of our first national park!

Most of the park closes. The only part that stays open is for skiing. Check with park for extra details.
