We loved the lake. Beautiful and peaceful. Rent a 18 ft boat for $55 an hour. Best money we spent at the park ! Easy to operate and great experience!

Views of lake, mountains, wildlife, changing weather are great. Hotel is clean, fresh, spacious but does not have wifi or 4G. Staff is terrific but mostly foreign and meal service is really slow

We didn't fish so we didn't spend a lot of time here. We saw several elk in the area, so it's a good place to spot them.

Drove in from Cody, kids were ready to get out and run around a bit by the time we got here. They found baby lady bug beetles hatch in the sand and watched that for awhile. Wildflowers in the area for photos also.

The water was crystal clear and so blue... It was so beautiful and hugh... I just know the water was freezing as there were still snow on the sides of the road In June.

It is a nice big lake, ofcoruse, but certainly not the highlight of the park. We saw it from above from the east too, nice

Worth driving the east loop to see Yellowstone lake. It's beautiful. The views of the snow caped mountains across the lake are spectacular. It's a must see! Keep an eye out for animals around the lake.

Avoid going on trails to Canyon falls the upper and lower falls, they are bit steep and not recommended for old people with heart and breathing issues. Artist point gives a good view of the lower falls from a distance... More
