We are home to a visual history of American Signage from 1870 through 1970. Hand carved wooden signs, gold leaf, electric light bulbs, and neon all grace our walls and tell amazing stories, especially when told by our founder and avid collector Tod. Take a trip down memory lane and visit us in the Camp Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati!

The museum itself isn’t very big but, I recommend going through and looking at all the different signs. My personal favorites were the neon ones. After you go through on your own, jump on one of the free tours available. We learned so much about...More

When I was there, there was not a lot of people. Which for me was kinda strange as it was definitely worth a visit. They have free guided tours with your paid admission. I elected not to go with a tour since there was none...More

I found the tour very informative. The owner and collector of these signs and displays leads the tour which adds a personal touch, He loves his job! It wasn't a very large museum, but worth checking out if you are like me and passing through...More

Informative and evocative, this is a great way to spend an hour and a half. Make sure to take the guided tour and see the restoration room. If you grew up in the 60s be prepared for some very surprising emotions that you could never...More

Excellent history of American advertising signage over the decades. We weren't there for the guided tour but felt that the exhibits were pretty self explanatory and this was easy to tour on your own

A trip that is filled with memories from decades past. This tour, self tour or guided, just proved to be a fun hour plus. The space is jam packed with such great signage from businesses that everyone recognizes plus some very local to the mid...More

We ventured to the American Sign Museum while in Cincinnati for my wife's birthday. The people were friendly and the exhibits were great, especially if you are into Americana and history.

I’ve wanted to visit since a friend went and posted on Facebook and finally took the time to go and was not disappointed. Once you visit you’ll never look at signs the same way again. Or said another way, you’ll notice signs that you wouldn’t...More

Came here just because I found it on TripAdvisor and the Cincinnati Museum Center was closed for construction. The cost was $15 for an adult. Wandered through for a little over an hour. I enjoyed watching the neon shop make signs. I think you forget...More

This is a fun place, but in my opinion a 4 hour detour is too much, unless you are an old sign fanatic,

Tour length depends on how many visitors show up. The Saturday we went, there were about 40, so the tour lasted about an hour. There was also an option to stay for a Q & A, and to watch the sign makers on site.
