Fountain Square is a lovely space to just hang out. Throughout the summer and fall there are events nearly every morning and evening - concerts, games, dances, fitness, etc. Not to mention that every major event in Cincinnati is tied to Fountain Square at some point. There is also cheap parking beneath the Square.

There was a stage set up in the square and the fountain that is usually the centerpiece was tucked to one side. There are a few restaurants here and the visitor center is in a breezeway to the left.

Fountain square is a nice place to walk if you are already in Cincinnati for another reason, but not worth a visit by itself. There are some okay restaurants around the square and great ice cream. There may be music or food trucks around the square. Each time we walked by, there was something else going on.

Nice historic central meeting spot in Cincinnati. And in the winter there is ice skating! Walking distance from most of the downtown hotels.

The font is a nice one. There are summer concerts, but I was there during the week, and Wenesday concert was a rage one, but not that great. It had a very diverse crowd. There is a horse carriage, not quite NYC stds but ok. Nice central area.

Fountain Square is a must see stop while visiting Cincinnati. The fountain was founded in 1871 and has been the crown jewel of the Queen City. There are events happening on the square very often, which makes it the social heart of the city. From the square it's a short walk to most events.

I grew up here, but one of my fondest memories of that youth was going downtown with my grandma at Christmas. One of my favorite things to do then was ice skating on Fountain Square. Now it is even better, with ice cream, easier parking, and local sports on the big screen.

I have been here twice for Salsa on the square, Thursday nights in the summer. I highly recommend it! Very nice downtown scenery and many people get up and dance. Colored lights are everywhere. Free lessons are provided to the crowd. Many people having a great time. Ice cream, beer and other food is very near by.

Fountain was interesting to watch with the water spraying out of the top. A gospel sing was going on when we were there so it was hard to get a picture of just it.
