Unique and beautiful.

Did a walk through a portion of Spring Grove. Went there to exercise. What a peaceful and interesting setting.

Spring Grove Cemetery is way more than just a cemetery. It is a historical cemetery, but it is also a beautiful place to drive through. There are beautiful plants, lakes, fountains, and wonderful gravestones to look at. There are also very old buildings to look at, and some that you can go into, such as chapels. People go there for... More

For people who enjoy wandering around in cemeteries, Spring Grove is one of, if not THE best in the country. As the name states, this cemetery is also an arboretum, and the landscape is spectacular, particularly in the spring and fall. On the gravestones and tombs, Cincinnati residents will recognize many locally famous names.

A person we met at a restaurant on the way to Cincinnati said we had to see the Spring Grove Cemetery. It was all she said it was. We decided to check it out because we had some time to kill and it in the area. It also was listed on Trip Advisor as a top thing to see. It... More

One of the largest cemeteries in the world, Spring Grove has interesting grave sites as well as a wonderful arboretum (even if you don't know a lot about trees, you'll enjoy it). It's a peaceful place to walk, run, or ride a bike.

Went to a Civil War Era story telling event, very hot outside but the grounds were well kept. The characters did a nice job of story telling about their Civil War character. After the event was over I drove around the grounds and saw lots of pretty colorful displays. I even rode the tram around to and from each character... More

Experience 733 acres of gardens and trees,15 lakes, and 44 miles of roadways at this National Historic Landmark. Yes, it is a cemetery but not depressing at all! Great for geneology buffs and local historians. No pets. 8 a.m.- 6p.m.

Gorgeous cemetery that is almost like a park. You can drive through and see this cemetery/arboretum in less than 1 hour.   Or you can take plenty of time walking and seeing everything if you prefer.  It's known to be a serene place and locals take jogs in the park so you won't feel out of place walking around taking pictures. ... It is like a park with history. You can feel the energy of the past. We had a wonderful docent who knew many personal and historical details of the prominent people buried there.

I can't believe this gorgeous place has been in my backyard all this time and I just discovered it. To see it in the fall with the leaves changing is breathtaking. There are clearly marked walking paths. It can be confusing, so play close attention to the signs.
