We drove though probably half to 3/4 of the cemetery. there were many interesting headstones. We did get out and walk, but I would recommend you do that if you want to really get more info on the people buried here.

My only regret is that I did not have more time to take a long walk through the cemetery. Many were and yet it was still very quiet.

The final resting spot of Miller Huggins and Waite Hoyt share ground with the various Proctors and Gambles in this 700 acre plus cemetery and arboretum. Many walking trails and even guided tours! Well worth a visit.

Home to over 25 state champion trees, Spring Grove serves two functions: the second largest cemetery in the US (and US Historic Landmark), yes; but also an extraordinary arboretum, conserving many tree and shrub species. This is a beautiful place to walk with 1,2,and 3.5 mile well-market routes. Allow plenty of time your first few visits because you will want to explore. The building at the entrance has bathrooms and lots of historical information and maps.
