The Duke Energy Children's Museum is a Lot of Fun!

We paid $6 to park and when we went in, found out how high priced it was just to visit! Our Duram in Omaha had free parking and is an old train station! And it doesn't cost that much! We left and we're disappointed that we paid$6 for nothing!!! I am happy to say I'm from Cincinnati and I have... More

We visited the Cincinnati Museum Center in February 2017. I was a little disappointed that the majority of the museum was under renovation, but we were there for the Duke Energy Children's Museum anyway, and it was open ( I did peek into one of the windows where the renovations are going on, and it is going to be awesome... Most of the museum is closed. If you have children they will love it. The Duke center for kids is open. The rest is currently under renovation. Can only see VERY small area of original terminal at this time. Walked in looked through small window to past and left.

The museum was in dire need of renovation, yet they failed to inform us that that was the plan until after we were sold an annual family pass-had to argue to get our money refunded. Only 1/4 of museum is currently open...would recommend waiting until renovations are complete!

OK - so some of this is dated, but Iv'e been back since and it appears nothing has changed. I have twin boys and when they were younger, Sunday was the day Mom got a break and I took the boys to the Museum Center. I'm talking almost every weekend because they loved it. Not just the children's museum, but... More

We stopped in while in town, what we saw was great but keep in mind they are under renovation! The Viking exhibit was great though! Many many articles and artifacts They show a short clip before you go into the exhibit! The staff was really friendly just wish we could've seen the whole place! Will return later

Mostly closed for a huge renovation project. Watch for the reopening. I'm not sure when that will be. The station itself is gorgeous, with historical murals of Cincinnati decorating the flat wall of a huge half-dome. They have a great museum of the history of Cincinnati and the area, as well as a pretty good natural history museum, and a... More

This museum is one of the most welcoming places in Cincinnati. Currently it is under renovation to restore the building to its breathtaking beauty, so only the Special Exhibits and Children's museum are open right now. However, it's a place you don't want to miss! If you have to wait until it reopens, to see one of the most monumental... More

The building alone (old train station) with the history is something to see. You can see 3D surround movie, go to the museum and have lunch or bring your lunch. My boys really enjoyed going there as well as it being a place schools go for the history and exhibits that always change.

My wife and I visited the museum especially for the Viking exhibit. The exhibit is well organized and fascinating. It is arranged in thematic, rather than chronological order. Guests visit displays organized around weapons, households, gods, and sailing for example. School children who were visiting seemed to particularly enjoy learning the runic alphabet and spelling their names. The museum is... More
