I visited the Cincinnati Museum Center recently. It is undergoing renovation, but has an exhibit entitled "Vikings: Beyond the Legend". This exhibit features many items that have been unearthed in different regions occupied by those people many refer to as vikings (but that you will learn is not what they called themselves). There are some two floors of exhibit space... More

Visiting here has been a joy, from 1957 to present, for events ranging from traveling by train myself, meeting family and friends who did, attending luncheon meetings of the Woman's City Club of Cincinnati, being with a large group celebrating wedding there and showing visitors the highly-regarded murals. An abiding community asset in architecture and history!

Very clean and engaging for my 6 year old, but the 10 and 11 year olds were bored. I really look forward to seeing what they do with this building once the remodeling is finished and all of the areas are again open to the public. There is a lot of potential in this place.

So I am not a big fan of museums. With that said, this museum is awesome. They have tons of displays, interactive displays for all ages. Lots of parking, and I think its free, but if its not, Its pretty cheap. Even if you don't want to go to a special venture they, just the inside of the station is... More

This place is now the home to the Natural Science, Children's Museum's, and the Omnimax Theatre and is an excellent place for special events! It was once not too long ago, EMPTY and had it not been that it was a historic place it would have likely been torn down.

Very very very disappointed. Went there to see the building, history, and art deco design. No reference on the website or outside the building that the only things that were open were the Viking exhibit and the children's playground. The rest of the building is closed off and not open to the public. I understand that restoration's are needed......but at... More

Saw the Vikings exhibit yesterday. It was quite interesting but not what I expected. Most of the exhibit were smaller pieces with fine detail and I wish I had brought my reading glasses so I could view them better. Lots of reading here also - quite informational. We enjoyed it. The actual Union Terminal Building is a wreck right now... More

In addition to seeing Cincinnati Shakespeare Co. performance of Richard III, we wanted to see the museum exhibit regarding Vikings. This exhibit was well worth the drive from Louisville to Cincinnati - - extremely broad scope and great depth of material covered. Two hours were drinking from a fire hose. If time permits, we'll try to go through it again.... More

Located in one of the most iconic Art Deco buildings, the Museum Center has fun for everyone. The Cincinnati Historical society has a massive model train display of Cincinnati in the 1940's, along with a homefront society during WW2 exhibition. Then you find yourself in a steam era machine shop, where you can learn about the industry that built our... More
