Learn the detailed history during the years of discovery of this colorful and rich area. The history is presented in a series of paintings chronological arranged. It proved impossible to break away until the last painting was digested.

If you want to see a visual treat of the history of the Walla Walla Valley, this is the place to go. There is one mural by Jeffrey Hill that is superb. It was like seeing a Van Gogh painting of the history of Walla...More

The art gallery and the Marcus Whitman Hotel is fabulous. An account of the Whitman history in a 35 piece display from the handshake in New York to the Silence of the Waiilatpu. Not for children as it is graphic. The display is historically accurate...More

It's worth a trip if you have time and like history more than fine art. It won't take long. I was staying at the hotel and it is was informative. Otherwise, it would not be on my top ten.
