Well worth the little we paid to visit this hidden gem! We spent about an hour and a half inside, really liked it, especially the battle diorama.

I was disappointed that the movie was aired on a small TV in the same room where the diorama and other displays were located. It was the main reason I went to this museum. The diorama was EXCELLENT, it really gave you a perspective of what challenges both armies faced. Lot of room for improvement. The staff was very pleasant.

This building is an old depot by the river, filled with miniature ships, cars, trains and a very excellent diorama of the battle of Vicksburg. Also has a good gift shop.

Featuring thousands of miniatures and models of the Vicksburg battleground, ships from the Civil War thru today, cars, planes and trains, this place has something for all! Be sure to see the movie about life during the siege to appreciate the history.

This is a small Museum on the banks of the Mississippi in Vicksburg, it is a little hard to find, but when you get there there is ample parking. There are 2 parts to the Museum, one about transport and the other a diarama of the Battle of Vicksburg. there is a small shop and the staff are very knowledgeable

Minimal cost for the walk thru tour and it is very informative. First of all they have several train sets running and the last room has a huge replica of the battle fought at Vicksburg during the Civil War. All the facts, which states were involved and how many lost their lives. Very humbling to listen to the video running... More
