A must see for visitors to Vicksburg and is equipped to help people with disabilities, with a chair lift to the second floor. Wheelchairs may have a difficult time in the close quarters though. Lots of info in the displays.

The old courthouse now a museum with hundreds of items, some exhibits overpacked but a great place to learn of the history of this important town and its relationship to the Civil War.

My husband and I stopped here. We found this old courthouse to be full of treasures. The staff was friendly. Even though it's a self-guided tour, they are ready to answer questions. It's worth the small fee to visit.

Set aside about an hour or so for this one. You go behind the courtroom on the 2nd floor and here is a mini museum dedicated to Jefferson Davis.

The most disgusting tribute to slavery I've ever seen. Why is this museum open in 2016. Oh..but they have a lovely display of confederate memorabilia. Makes me ashamed to be white
