Start with the film in the visitor center, then drive or bike/walk your way around the park to see the sights of one of the most important encampments from the Revolutionary War. Many locals come here just to bike/walk/run, and that is very enjoyable also....More

This was a very nice place to visit. Some of the guides for this time of the year had different stories from the 1700's that added a lot of perspective to the tour. The driving tour was very easy to do with the map and...More

We had a nice visit, and the park staff were excellent - gave special attention to our kid that was really appreciated. But we drove 3 hours to see the park and on the day we planned to visit, the visitor's center and Washington's Headquarters...More

The Park Rangers in Washington's quarters and the Visitor Center were very knowledgeable, as National Park Service staff usually are. Be sure to engage them with questions to get the most out of the visit. If you go during cold weather, be aware that parking...More

My friend and I went here for an early birthday present for me, and because 2017 is the 240th anniversary of the winter encampment. Being an American Revolution history buff, I'd always wanted to go here and finally had gotten the chance. The site is...More

The park is very large. Great for biking, hiking, dog walking. At the very informative Visitors Center, one can buy tickets for a 90 minute trolley tour. That was a delight. Many more details made come to life. My husband is the history geek but...More

This place is worth the stop on your vacation. Make sure you see the movie at the visitor center and then tour the center itself. After that, a drive through the park is a must. At the visitor center, find the phone number you can...More

It was a pleasure to visit this historic site. The kids loved being able to explore the recreated cabins and to see the fields surrounding the place. Interacting with some costumed interpreters was a good experience as well. There is a nice, short film to...More

If you're driving, you can go as fast as you like and someone can narrate from the map. But easier, faster and more informative to park and take the tour for 1.5(?) hrs and have someone else drive and talk.
