We were already in the area and decided to stop by. A lot of history here. We drove the 10 mile loop and had an enjoyable 2 hours at the site. Would be great for long walks or biking, we just didn't have the time...More

We did the trolley tour, it lasted 90 mins (but the guide was lovely and he took a bit longer - you feel you are getting your moneys worth). As a Brit it was nice to hear us treated with respect and to learn about...More

Our visit to Valley Forge was well worth the trip. We are history lovers and know a lot but learned SO much more from the visit and the extremely informed docents and rangers. The site is well laid out for walking, biking or driving. We...More

This park is one that you can visit over and over, and seem something different each time. The park is large and encompasses open space, preserved historic buildings and interpretation. Keep in mind that if you visit on a week day there may be a...More

After 30 years of living nearby, I never get tired of visiting this park. Its more than the history, its just an oasis in the midst of a very busy northeastern suburb. Its a great place to walk or ride a bike. The tours are...More

If you are going to walk to most of the exhibits at valley forge, you need to schedule about 5 hours. That way you can listen to the lectures at the visitors center, Washington's headquarters, and the huts. Then there is... More

We walked around the park figuring that the men camped out there for the winter did the same. I think it gave us a better appreciation for the time they spent there. Three hours would give you plenty of time to drive part of... More

If you're driving, you can go as fast as you like and someone can narrate from the map. But easier, faster and more informative to park and take the tour for 1.5(?) hrs and have someone else drive and talk.
