A beautiful church that is on the National Park site but not part of the park. Beautiful stained glass and an operational church. Volunteers available to answer your questions. Check out the Victory Bell display while you’re there.

Beautiful building with a person who explains all the wonderful stained glass panels. There is a small snack bar behind the church.

Beautiful stop if you like architecture. There are small gargoyles on the building which are fun to try to find. There is a very small gift shop at the back of the property, surrounded by a small cemetery.

Words and pics don't do this place justice. I have seen literally 100's of churches from small to huge and none have really impressed me. I can honestly say this was probably the first church I've been in that I was impressed. The outside architecture is beautiful-step inside and you'll be blown away. From the stained glass windows, to the doors, to the ceiling...it's all just incredible. I was not expecting this in Valley Forge. There is also a cemetery there that you can check out. There is a small used bookstore there as well as a small giftshop/snack shop. There was someone there taking graduation pics and I'm sure this is a very popular place to do professional photos. An added perk-like the rest of the park-it's FREE! Caution-it is an active church so if you are there on a Sunday morning there will be a service. I would recommend going another time so you can really check out the sanctuary.

Worth a stop while visiting the park. If one door isn't open, keep going and try another. Chapel is beautiful.

In addition to the beautiful building, their are several hidden ornate designs throughout the church. The carvings outside, stain glass and wood carvings tell the story of America and the revolution. A friendly staff gave an impromptu tour during our visit. All the flags are of military units in the revolution. Don't miss the cabin shop behind the church. They had a simple but good food menu for lunch. Their is also a used book store on the bottom level of the church in the back. On the front side of the church is a monument to general greene. Came on visit to valley forge national park.

This is a small but very beautiful Gothic style Episcopal church. The sanctuary was open when we arrived, so we sat in a pew for a time for quiet reflection. Just be aware that this is a church which was built in honor and memory of George Washington. It is not a church where Washington himself worshiped.

I made a quick visit to the Washington Memorial Chapel in December 2021 as part of my visit to Valley Forge National Historical Park and my self-guided driving tour of nine stops. The chapel was the last stop. It is very beautiful inside with an altar and stained glass.

Washington Memorial Chapel is stunning inside and out. The structure is magnificent and beautifully preserved. Walk around the outside to see the details and enjoy the serenity of the inside of the chapel.

The Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge is incredibly beautiful. There is so much history at Valley Forge National Park, visitors should plan on spending at least half a day to see it all.

The Chapel/Church is lovely and peaceful with lots of areas to explore. There is a large cemetery area to drive along on the way to the Chapel. Everything is beautifully maintained. Plan on spending around an hour in this area of the Park.
