I don't go to Waikiki to shop, so the high-end (and some not so high-end) stores are lost on me. This is a nice open-air shopping center now though. The several restaurants on the third floor are worth checking out, and the evening shows at the first floor stage area are done very well. It's actually a very peaceful area... More

Parking is tight here. Valet service is available but can be quite slow. The Market Place has been beautifully remodeled since the 2013 gutting of the storied vendor space of old. The IMP is clean attractive and chalked full of boutique shopping and dining.

As I walked around to see all the stores one caught my eye. Island art and sole was a small but cute store with island products. They had a display that I would like to give as presents to friends from the mainland. You could design it anyway you want. It was cutouts that you are able to display. Its... More

The International Market Place is more than retail stores and restaurants. Throughout the market place, there are benches, rocking chairs, bubbling ponds that invite you to just sit, relax and watch the people go by. The market place also has local entertainment that you can listen to in between your shopping and dining pleasures. The stores in the International Market... More

It had been five years since we visited Waikiki and we were concerned about the renovation of the International Market Place. Would Waikiki lose an iconic and historic market to high end generic shops? It is a relief to find a well done and respectful area with the giant banyan tree at its heart.

A remake of the market place has turned it into and architectural gem of Hing end Ala Moana Center. Gone are th eclectic shops replace with standard high end store. The Miramar hotel demolished for Saks Fifth Avenue. Walk through and try to remember what it "WAS" b4!!!!'nn

All the stories of how interesting the old International Market Place was are now history. It's a boring upmarket uninteresting place catering for wealthy Asian tourists. Use it as a walk through access only. At least they kept the old Banyan tree. I think it's going to be a disaster. It didn't appear to be very busy. The upstairs restaraunt... More

You don't even need to be shopping to go there. It's simply a cool place to hang out. So many places to charge your devices and relax. Very clean, bathrooms included. The rooftop is the best... that is if the weather isn't too hot.

The stores are all pretty high end - Saks of 5th avenue etc - but it really is a beautiful place to sit down as well. There are wifi charging stations, and beautiful places to relax. Restaurants are great. Very well located.
