We roamed by this important building downtown and appreciated its grandeur. Not the most important site, but pleasant enough.

I absolutely love visiting and seeing the different Christmas trees. It immediately puts you in the holiday spirit. Also viewed the wreaths this year. It all just makes me happy!

Went to see the city hall only because we visited other sites very close by. Would not make special trip.

Came here on the final night of Mango Jam to catch the open air concert by Kapena Kids (new) and Kalapana (old school). So good to hear Kalapana again.

Mango Jam 2018 was sponsored by the city and they did a great job arranging food booths and activities. Lot of volunteers keeping it clean and HPD maintained its vigilance.

It was a perfect night with cool weather.

The Christmas displays are outstanding. Just had a fun time walking through the festival of trees, and the HUGE Mr. and Mrs. Claus outside. Nice diversion from the tough Honolulu traffic.

Parking and crowds can be an issue during the Holidays, but Honolulu Hale should not be missed if you are in Honolulu during December. Early December, the city has a Christmas Tree-lighting Ceremony outside City Hall and an electric-light parade. Throughout the Christmas Season, the grounds are decorated for the Holidays and it becomes a Christmas wonderland at night. If you want to avoid the crowds, try visiting early on a Sunday morning. You may not avoid parking difficulties because of the nearby churches, but you may avoid the crowds. Of course, if you want to see it at night your best bet may be to take a trolley ride past it -- or simply brave the crowds and enjoy.

If you're in Hawaii, Honolulu for Christmas, you must swing by the city hall! Someone loves putting on a show around Christmas. This year we were treated to an exhibit of Christmas trees - all designed by local organisations and businesses.

There was a beautiful display for Christmas at the city hall.
At night, there is a display of lights too, and some stalls like Leonard's malasadas.
The decor was neat and artistic!!!
Worth the time!

Happened upon city Hall quite by accident. We noticed all kinds of Christmas displays outside this lovely building and stopped to ask what it was and were invited in. The work they put into all the holiday displays was spectacular and worth the visit anytime during the holiday season

During Christmas time, there are statues all over the place. There is Santa, Mrs. Claus, Snow men, Rudolph, and a lot more. There are all sorts of Christmas trees inside the Honolulu Hale (main building) there also vendors, games and prizes.

However, whenever it's not the holiday season, it's just buildings. They're not open and not very popular at all. I wouldn't take the bus to see this. It's a big building, with open landing surrounding it, but nothing too exciting.
