Nice area for picnic and fireworks

Not the most picturesque beach on the island, but has its perks. Easy parking, grassy and sandy areas for picnics. Great spot to watch fireworks!

So nice and peaceful here You hardly see any people compared to the chaos at Waikiki beach Anyone with small children will certainly appreciate this park Great walking/ jogging track around the park as well There are some homeless people camping around the park but they tend to stay away.

Quiet beach right near the main strip. Kids and locals and a few tourists venture here. Safe and calm water.

This is one of my favorite places to walk in the early evening before the sun sets. Depending on the weather, the sunsets vary in brightness and hues of orange. But they are always beautiful. Camera enthusiasts line up on the side facing the sunset. I have walked along the park when marriage proposals were taking place. One gentleman had... More

If you are looking for a beautiful place to walk in Honolulu this is it. The walk around Ala Moana beach park and Magic Island is about three miles. Absolutely beautiful, especially around sunset.

great for beginner snorkeling; safe and pleasant; great for kids; got pulled into the ocean by waves and was quickly rescued by a gorgeus young lifeguard - thank you

This peninsula juts out from Waikiki and some locals brought a picnic to enjoy. The area is a bit crowded, but that is be expected. We also strolled along the peninsula after getting up to watch the 5 am start of the Marathon, and it was a great place to watch the sun rise.

Who can tell me why is it called Island? This isn't an island. This place isn't crowded and not so popular by the tourists so If you would like to have a nice walk in peace this is for you. There is a beach next to it which is safeguarded by lifeguard but actually none was there. The water is... More

Kind of a loop off ala moana beach park at the closer end to waikiki. It makes a nice walk to relax near the ocean. An excellant spot for watching the locals take out their sail boats on a Friday evening

Watch the sailboats go out from about 6 pm for the weekly Friday night races, watch the sunset, have a picnic, enjoy the newlyweds taking pictures
