We had a good time hiking Manoa Falls. The trail isn't all that long, but it's pretty easy for anyone to do. Compared to other nearby hikes Diamondhead and Koko Crater, this is easiest. There are some muddy parts and some areas with slippery rocks, but all in all most people should be able to handle this hike with no... More

This was a great short hike. It's 1.6 miles round-trip. The fall is beautiful. The drive to the fall is beautiful too. It costs $5 per car to park. The day we went it was extremely humid. The trail is slippery in parts close to fall so wear appropriate shoes. And take plenty of water.

Took bus no 5 from ala moana shopping mall(25 min) to get there. A 1/2 mile to trail and about 1 mile trail to falls . Gravel on about first 3/4 , then slippery rocks rest of way. Pretty flat, good trail,no bathrooms. Parking and resturant at trailhead

We were looking forward to a relatively easy hike to do on our recent stay on Oahu, so the .8 mile "walk" (for "Novice Hikers"...?!) near our hotel seemed like a viable option - NOT! The trail starts out okay but becomes increasingly steep, and when wet/muddy, EXTREMELY slippery with big rocks and embedded steel rails as "steps". Plus the... More

This hike is beautiful. So many trees, flowers, water, etc. It gets a little muddy in places. You should wear hiking shoes and bring water.

A good-length hike with breathtaking waterfall reveled at the end. Make sure you wear sneakers but also make sure that it's not your favorite one - it'll come out completely muddy. in fact you can tell on the street who has just been to Manoa Falls. also bring mosquito repellent.

A lot of reviews say that this hike is super muddy; compared to other hikes here, that's not true. However, if you aren't an experienced hiker, yes, there is a little bit of mud near the waterfall. This hike is in Manoa, which is in the rainforest, so expect it to rain (and for there to be some mud). This... More

My friends and I were hiking there. We took a bus and then walked to the entrance. It was very easy trail. On the way hiking was a bit mud on the ground. Monos Falls is ok. Lots of huge trees on the way hiking. It's amazing.

This is a nice easy hike if you just want to see a waterfall and some of the beauty of hawaii. Be sure to bring bug spray because there will be plenty of them as you go along. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or stained with mud.

I am still laughing that the state of HI lists this hike as "easy" and for everyone. Do NOT believe it. Granted, I had both of my knees replaced in January 2016, and this was my first major hike since. Anyone with mobility issues with either have a hard time or not be able to complete this hike. I also... More
