I went there in early morning because I had been told that after 10 am it would be hot for hiking . Route was not difficult but not so easy , at least for me. When I got there many people were swimming , but...More

This is a crowded hike, but if you are looking for a great offset to the beach without a huge time commitment, this is it. The hike is easy to moderate, but was very slick in certain places. Great views of the jungle and beautiful...More

We did this hike as a family with a 12 and 14 year old. It was drizzling when we arrived and as many mentioned, a little muddy but not terrible. We were all amazed at how beautiful this hike was! So green and pretty everywhere...More

About 1.5 miles to get to the waterfall. The trail is easy to travel. Along the trail you pass section like Jurasic park scenic, bamboo surround old gate, there is a section has many stair steps which I named stairway to heaven. The rock formation...More

I always love getting away to Manoa Falls. Fairly short, easy hike if you're athletic. Good idea to park and pay the $5, otherwise, it's a high theft area. Parking does fill up quickly. I am tempted to say skip this hike for a quieter...More

The falls themselves weren't particularly spectacular as there was little water flowing, however the hike to them was great. We took plenty of photos along the way as there are plenty of opportunities to do so. It was disappointing to see so many people disregarding...More

Loved this short hike to the Manoa Falls. It was muddy and slippery the closer you got.. so be sure to wear suitable clothes. Didn't feel the bugs as much😁.. The Falls themselves are ok.. honestly a little underwhelmed.. however feels like you're in the...More

Although I drove to this site, I saw other tourists waiting at the city bus stop a few hundred yards from the start of the hiking trail. It's an easy hike through tropical forest to reach the falls; some muddy patches but not steep. Quite...More

You will find the fall after a short and easy hike, but it's a little slippery so wear good shoes. The falls are in the jungle where it's nicely cooler and more shaded than Honolulu. The drive to get there is also beautiful, a small...More

If you're tired of the beautiful beach scene on Oahu, try hiking up to Manoa Falls. The trail isn't long or difficult, although there are uneven portions of both dirt, gravel/rock & stairs along the way, but it is a real change in scenery from...More

There's a good amount of parking spots at a paid parking lot. $5, from what I remember from our June 2017 visit. Very safe so leaving luggage in the car wouldn't be a problem either.

Just turn up and walk in. The track is fine, will get a bit muddy and slippery after rain. It took us 1 hour 20 return - taking photos along the way, reading the information sign.

Technically, NO. Do people go swimming (I would call it more like wading), Yes. There are signs posted, however, people ignore the signs and wade in the water/swim.
