Firstly, the trail is not clearly marked: specifically the starting point to the hike. When you arrive there's an option to go left towards the restaurant and there's an option to go right which leads to a pave road. I would suggest parking in the...More

Lovely hike through a rain forest to a beautiful waterfall. Muddy but worth it. Not difficult but mud can be slippery.

We hiked up in July (dry season) so the falls were more of faucet. However, the scenery is just outstanding. Even though it is a graveled path for a large part of the way, there are still some challenging areas for those of us who...More

Close to town in Waikiki. A easy 30 min walk up to the waterfall. You can bus up there using public transport. Not a bad waterfall. Be nice if you could swim there.

On the positive side, this was a moderately challenging, shady hike with landscapes that looked like a Jurassic park set. On the negative side, you will come out completely muddy and as hot and sweaty as if you just went into a sauna.

I read online that this waterfall was featured in Jurrasic World, but it is not. Still the 30 minute hike was worth it because you walk through an amazing rainforest. The trail is sometimes muddy and slippery. Wear proper shoes, we saw people on flip-flops...More

We enjoyed hiking to the waterfall, but be prepared. Yes, it is a short hike, but it is not (as advertised) for novices. The path gets steep and quite muddy. I saw multiple people fall. In the worst part, you need to hold on to...More

The trail is beautiful and ends at a small waterfall. It is an easy trail but it gets quite slippery with the mud so be careful!

This has been one of the best experiences in My trip to Hawaii. This place is located in the Waimea valey with a well organized logistic to go from the visitors center to the falls. Either walking about 1 mile (30 minutes) or using a...More

Hike through a scenic jungle that looks like it's from another world to an amazing waterfall? Yes, please! Trail was free but parking was $5 then off you go! Less than a mile will get you there, however, the trail gets a bit tougher as...More

People swim in this water fall and don't pay attention to any warnings. In Hawaii you should never swim in a water fall because of Leptospirosis. Look it up, it's in all of the water. I would never risk it. Just enjoy the... More

Yes it is possible with a youngster. May be a few little spots that a little more care needs to be taken. Just be mindful of the people behind you and let them pass. Also don't do if it has rained as there are some slippery... More

Hi there, What fun you'll have visiting Manoa Falls in August. We went in January and it was beautiful then. Prior to our holiday, we had picked up a "Go Oahu" card from Costco. The card allows you to choose several... More
